jQuery msaccordion issue with Chrome

When using the msaccordion jquery plugin I had an issue where I needed to specify a unique width for each panel on my vertical accordion menu.

This caused a glitch in Chrome where the accordion transition would work on the first click but clicking any link a second time would cause the content to drop below the panels, at a much narrower width. The transitions would still work but would stay at the bottom of the page. This only happened in Chrome…IE and Firefox worked as they should

I found out the reason was because I was inserting an inline width setting on the content div

Well, Chrome doesn’t like it when you assign a width setting so the site breaks. The simple answer was to remove the width from the content div.

I styled the width by creating an outer div and assigned the width setting to that(on an external stylesheet)
